Hi there,

I had pain much like yours when my IBS started 3.5 months ago. I had a stabbing, sharp pain directly under my belly button. I had other symptoms as well but the pain was the worse symptom therefore downplaying my other symptoms. I am pain predominant IBS.

The doctor's were confused about my symptoms and I went through a lot of testing b/f the diagnoses was clear. Also, just to note--the pain got worse when I moved around or exerted myself in any way, so it is possible that your activity is making it hurt worse. My doctor says that my pain is more localized possibly b/c of my anatomy. I know it seems strange but that is what I was told (I don't believe everything I hear from the docs).

I hope this helps--but you definitly need to write down if you are having other symptoms and pay special attention to your body. Try to write down reactions you have after you eat and see if there is a correlation. You may have an increase in pain or you may notice that you do have other symptoms along with the pain. Pain can be a huge distrator from other symptoms if they are not as severe.

You will be alright--believe me--I have helped myself tremendously with this website and by using Heather's products and so can you. I hope to hear that you are doing better very soon.
