When you go to the coffee pub, take a magazine or a book with you. At the bookstore, or library there might be book clubs you can join...you can start a conversation with someone about how they like the book they're reading, or if they can recommend something for you. You can also check the newspaper, and phone book yellow pages, or local college or university for different clubs or groups with similar interests. How about an art class, or painting, or pottery?
