Hello, YES, you will survive this. It is time of transition and change - be kind to yourself. Surround yourself with things that comfort you, take advantage of the services offered such as academic counselling, workshops on notetaking, try and interact with your peers and seek out people who need a friend - things always seem better when you are extending a helping hand. This too shall pass. I have a daughter who is just finishing her 2nd year away and we were just talking about how far she has come since the beginning of her studies away. She went through the same thing that you are experiencing - my son has just begun his studies away and was very very homesick the last few days - also found the new studies overwhelming and such an adjustment from high school - he has since talked to some other people in his residence who are feeling the same way but he thought he was the only one - You will get through this and learn wonderful new things about the world and yourself. Take care of yourself. Debbie, Ontario, Canada
