Thanks Mary. I've been dealing with IBS since my thirties. However, this year it came back as a result of what they say is stress. Ive been doctoring for this since February, but last week I developed a pain in my left back around under my breast that hurt when I breathed. I took myself to ER and they ran CTS, Ultrasounds,Blood, Urine all checked out perfect. My GI doc sent me home and told me to eat whatever I want and to stay on Levbid indefinitely. I did a followup with my MD and he recommended an MRI of that part of my back since they saw arthritis. I did that yesterday. After he reads results he recommended I see the colorectal doctor. The pain is still in my back I still dread going to bathroom, lots of burning up inside rectum area. Not sure if that is from spasms or the Levbid putting the breaks on my insides. Actually the burning upinside is a relatively new symtom, because I'm older now and maybe the symptoms change. CTs didn't show that I have gallstones, Ultrasound showed moderate amount of diverticular. Do not nor did I ever experience any gas attached to my IBS. Just from a moderate movement to an explosive one. I've increased Heathers' accacia, but afraid to leave the house. Although on Friday nite we did go out for dinner and pretended I was in normal mode and ate as directed "whatever" as I was told. I spent the entire night going gassy what looked like everything I ate from Tuesday. So I'm back to eating the same foods again because I'm afraid to eat "the whatever I want". I don't know what else to make of this. From as far back as I can remember I've always had burning in the vaginal area whenever I felt "D", or the "C" that came with IBS. I've been getting hot flashes with all of this as well. My doctor also recommended I try Wellbutrin. I'm very afraid to leave the house and tomo I have to go to work. I sit with my legs crossed tight because after a movement it hurts up inside. Don't know what to think of any of this. Thanks so much for caring and sharing. I'm on the verge of tears almost daily and feel very irritable. Hoping to hearback. Carol B.
