I don't want to be the heavy...just lookin' out for ya. But yeah, it really is so nice to have someone that enjoys to be around kids. My ex lives 7 blocks away and hasn't seen the kids in 3 weeks. He doesn't call either. It's sad. He's living with his gf and her two kids and their little one. Apparently, he's too busy. BUT, my DH has done so much with the boys. He's been a great influence on them and I'm glad. I'm very lucky. And I have a feeling that you will be just as lucky. Maybe with this guy...maybe with another. But it'll happen.
