What are your hobbies? How/where do you find time to do them?
I just ask because, well, I really don't have any anymore. Most of my friends have lots of them. I have friends that sew, write, do historical re-enacting, and play role-playing games (like Dungeons & Dragons, but more advanced...yes, most of my friends are geeks ). My husband does role-playing games, collects various types of things, and paints. Me, I used to do some re-enacting, but that's fallen by the wayside for various reasons over the last two years. I used to write, too, but as I've gotten older, I've become less inspired and never seem to have the time. When I do have the time (and/or the inspiration), I can think of lots of other things I should be doing, like cleaning the house or laundry, or working on my temporary side job. I don't even listen to music much at home anymore, because this house is so small, it would wake my husband when he's asleep (we work opposite shifts).
I also get cynical about hobbies, to be honest. Our house is tiny. There's no place to put stuff anymore, so I tend to think "Where am I going to store this?" And then there's the tightwad in me who thinks I should just save the money or at least spend it on something needed instead of something wanted.
So where do you find your inspiration? And the time? I don't even have kids and I'm not a student, but it just seems like there is always something else that needs to be dealt with.
Not that my life is bad; I just feel like a creative outlet would be good for me.
