Hang in there and stay strong, I know you'll get through this. I know some people might not like what I'm going to say next but here goes. It sounds like he's going through some kind of mid life crisis, and for your sake I hope he snaps out of it. The jaded cynic in me thinks although he says there's no one else, there probably is, or he might have an eye on someone. I've seen this happen many times, and it's even happened to me once with an ex-boyfriend. Although you're going to try to keep things amicable, please get all the child support and alimony done through the courts. That is so vital to do because when a new girlfriend or boyfriend enters the picture, if the roles are reversed, there is usually trouble when the monthly payment comes due.
