Hell, I am still sticking with my orginal theory, that they all died in the plane crash and the island they are on is purgatory.
This theory is one of the handful that has been denied and/or dismissed by the show's creators/writers. If you check out some of the Lost boards out there, there's typically kind of a running list of debunked theories. I think it's-all-in-someone's-head is also on the list.
I think that, for whatever reason, they're trying to establish that everyone is somehow connected. Libby was in the same asylum as Hurley -- but then Locke inspected Nadia's house, Sawyer met Jack's father, Kate's father met Sayid, etc.
What really drives me nuts is how slow-paced it has been this season, and how no one ever seems to actually sit around and talk about stuff. Maybe that's supposed to all be off-screen, but it seems like these people tend to only gape mindlessly at stuff rather than have any discussion. I mean, isn't ANYONE curious about the Black Rock, or who Adam and Eve were, or the black & white stones, or where that cable went to, or what Dharma is??
