Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Good news and not so good news

Since I like to start off with the positives I will. My high risk OB office called today and I tested negative for the two tests that were going to determine if I could get pregnant again without major risks! Negative is a good thing and they ended the conversation with Dr. says go get pregnant and call us when you do. I will still be high risk but have an 80% chance of carrying to term with the heparin injections to help with clots. So I was glad to hear that. I still have to wait for the rhuemy doc on Monday but she said that nothing she would diagnose would cause her to say not to get pregnant. So I am in the clear with that but will still be waiting to hear if I tested positive for any autoimmune disorders.

The not so good news is hubby's appointment today. His last echo did not show a decrease in the heart pressure. In fact it was a few numbers higher. So he does have the diagnoses of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. The doctor said this is not a good disease to have. But he also said that we could wait and do another echo is 6 months and see what the numbers are then before we got to the specialist. I want to see the specialist now. And I think hubby is agreeing with me. I don't want to mess around with this and the woman he would be seeing is at U of M and is at the top in the world for her cardio work. I am not sure what to think of this. I am a bit in shock and i can tell my blood pressure is high because I am dizzy and have a headache. I am trying to remain calm because I know we caught this early but still it seems like someone has put a time clock on my husband's life. I really can't imagine my life without him and I know that i gettin ahead of myself but I am just scared. So we have some decisions to make. I don't want to wait on having more children so this won't put a hold on those things.

Sorry to ramble on but I want to thank everyone again who offered their support. I am probably going to need more of it. So please continued thoughts,prayers and good vibes. I think the world of everyone of these boards and i feel lucky to know all of you!
