Sorry you are having a bad time...hope everything evens out soon.
Actually, I do the same thing Bevvy does. Flush right away and it also muffles the "poop noises", Ha Ha. Then if necessary flush again.
Unfortunately, my desk at work is right across the hall from our two unisex bathrooms, not stalls, just one potty each. Anyway, when some of the guys "go" they use so much of the air freshner that when it hits me at my desk it almost knocks me off my chair. PHEWEEEE! I think it might just be better not to spray at all and suffer a few minutes than to smell that strong air freshner for about an hour afterwards. EW!
Also, have you tried using Imodium for the "D". That helps me a lot.
