Re: Well, my hair was falling out...       02/03/06 01:33 PM Edit Reply Quote PaulineNZ Reged: 02/02/06 Posts: 26 Hi there, I have read and heard that at least in this country maybe different where you are, that the standard testto see if you are hypothyroid is not that great i.e. your thyroid needs to have just about stopped functioning in order for it to show up. Of course you can have many symptoms like cold feet, hands, hair loss, weight gain etc. etc. etc. if your thyroid is not functioning properly but is not at the level that shows up on the tests. Hope this makes sense. You can get some really good stuff to kickstart your thyroid from a naturopath if you believe in using them, you would have to check to make sure they wouldn't interfere with any other meds you are taking.
