Does anyone here have a B12 deficiency from cutting out dairy and red meat from there diet? This is a new thing they are looking at for me because of my m/c and because my new lab work showed that my white blood count to be on the low side. I have read that people who are vegans have this more commonly. I am not vegan but do not eat red meat and dairy that contains alot of B12. I am currently taking a supplement but they tested to see of I was absorbinbg it. If I am not then I will have to give myself B12 shots. Just was looking for some input. I posted this on the Diet board also. Thanks

Just an added note for those of you who have been following my doc visits. My ANA (Lupus) panel) came back negative this time and so did additional screening from my OBGYN. I am currently going to see a high risk OBGYN, go to U of M for a rheumotlogist workup, and will see the Hematologist again in 4 weeks. My platlets also dropped down to 96,000 from 120,000. I have not been sick and with the white blood count lower she is monitoring my CBC panel for the next 3 weeks to see if these levels change at all. My red blood cells look fine no signs of cancer or anything. I swear the makeup of my body is crazy!!!!!!!!!
