I agree. If you add up the extra fluids, blood, placenta, baby, and all that stuff, you're talking a MINIMUM of 20 lbs. That's just the baby stuff, not any added bulk on you!
The 20 lbs thing is very old school. 30 - 40 is much more realistic.
Still, we all do what we can, but don't worry.
