And with all the research I've done and info. I've gathered I pretty much have decided to have the surgery Lis.
It is NOT a gurantee it will help the IC. 50-50 chance. It IS a guarantee for a diagnoses though.
Complications include: A UTI. This means the possibility of pain worse than I had before surgery. It also means the infection can cause complications and keep me from healing for weeks.
BUT this is not too too common.
Thing is...I need to know. a)It will help me do the diet (no cheating!) for life because I will KNOW eating harmful foods is actually eating away at my bladder wall. b)It will help doctors to treat me properly in the future. c)It MIGHT (50-50 chance!) put me into remission for a while.
So....surgery seems to be the thing to do. *sigh*
Please do not EVER minimize out anxieties!! They are hard to deal with! G-d only gave all of this to me btw because I can truly handle it. If I couldn't He would have sent all this someone else's way. (Keep in mind...can only do this with HELP and lots of LOVE. Thank G-D for these boards!!!!)Just as He sent OCD your way...and IBS--and kids! I don't have any kids. You are truly an AMAZING lady Lis and you have overcome a LOT in your life. We cannot compare. Perhaps it is more difficult for you to get over your hardships than me with mine. in any case...no comparing *hugs* (I hear what you are trying to say...and I thank you from the bottom of my heart...but one person's suffering cannot be compared to anothers. I send you *mega hugs* for all you have overcome...you truly are special and wonderful and I love you!) P.S. I hope all of this made sense?
