I got my spec ed specialist and it was one of the best things I ever did. I LOVED my time in the resource room. It was a total reprieve from the total chaos of the classroom. I loved working with kids in small groups, and helping them understand stuff, and gain confidence. Plus, that rapport with them spilled over into the regular classroom and I had less behavioural problems. The head of resource was awesome - he was like a father to me. I'd come in crying and stressed, and he'd tell me it would be OK, and it always was. But that's another story.
