I was only 14 when Rent opened in 1996 and my mom made me wait until I was 16 because of the subject matter. Well, by the time my 16th birthday came along I had been listening to my recording for 2 years and went hog wild. It spent an entire summer in Philadelphia and I live right outside. I saw it 3 times in that summer. I kinda went through a totally obsessive phase. Now, I am lucky if I see it once a year. In fact, my fiance planned to propose at Rent but we couldn't get tickets (it was a big surprise that fell through.)
