Hi Isabel,
I think that in the beginning of my relationship, I got lots of suprises. Flowers, dinners, etc.
After 3 years, not so much.  Since we moved to Canada, I don't think I can think of any suprises I've have done for me.
Oh! No, wait, that's not true. I can think of a few, he decorated our little suite in red balloons and streamers on Valentine's Day and did all my birthday planning without me knowing. Just not little things like flowers or dinners anymore.
I, on the other hand, do things all the time. I don't really do them because I think I should so much, but 'cause I really like to.
I think it's a totally individual thing, though, and if someone never brings you flowers or always brings you flowers might not speak directly to how much they love you.
