Food Network ROCKS!       11/28/05 03:26 PM Edit Reply Quote Bevvy Reged: 11/04/03 Posts: 5918 Loc: Northwest Washington State I LOVE the Food Network; it's practically all I ever watch. I am constantly amazed at how much FAT is used in what is otherwise referred to as "healthy" recipes! When I see them make a recipe that sounds interesting, I go online and print it out. I have cookbooks FULL of 'em! I like to take a recipe and see if I can make it usable by cutting out the fat content. I've had a few successes, but unfortunately, more failures. I'm still tryin' though... The worst offender seems to be The Barefoot Contessa and Paula Deen. Paula appeared on "The View," and served the ladies an array of her dishes. Star and one other lady, I'm not sure which, politely sampled a tiny bit of them, then bluntly asked Paula why she uses so much FAT. She responded something to the effect that, "you only go around once in this life...."
