Thanks everyone for all your kind words....I'm not sure how Shane is today at the office, this is the first day that everyone should be back to work.

As for the wrong way, we have heard that he was at a party that night, and made a call to one of the other girls in his office (he and a few of the girls in the office were very close friends from school as well) saying that he had to get to Snoqualmie....but nobody know why...because of the direction that he was going, he had already been to Snoqualmie before the crash. I'm hoping that maybe cell phone records can help figure out what was in Snoqualime??

Shane says, "What a waste...he had the world in his hands...and he may have done something really stupid...we will have to wait and see what the autopsy shows."

I have to agree with Bevvy on this one. I am glad she said it first and not me. I feel bad for his family and my heart goes out to them for their loss but it sounds as though he was VERY reckless. I hope alcohol was not involved.

Well, the Department of Transportation says that there is a 45% chance that the driver might be intoxicated if he is driving in the opposite lane so it may have been a number of reasons, including health problems, etc.

Only the autopsy will be able to show whether he was "reckless" or not. Hopefully it's negative.
