I know I'm Jewish, so we might see things differently...but I figure it's worth a post and I hope it helps somehow...

A Rebbetzin (Rabbi's wife) lost her son of 7 years old. This boy was in 1st grade (I taught kindergarten that year at the school so I knew the boy a bit). He was PRECIOUS! He would stay after school and ask the teacher how he could help her! He never yelled, spoke out of turn, etc. He was truly a GIFT to this world!

He died of illness.

I asked a friend of mine, a different Rebbetzin, what I could do. She said to make the world better. Maybe decide to smile at a person a day. Help my husband in some way that matters to him each day.

And I did!

That little boy's soul lives on this way. I do these things in his honor.

I wrote the mother telling her I would do this in her son's honor. This means more to her than anything...

We don't know why. But if we learn from it, grow from it, and make ourselves better in the person's honor...we are changing the world...

I love you Alicia and Bev!!! *hugs*
