Hi from one old broad to another.

I can relate to your feelings on retirement. I had to leave my job as Administrative Asst. a couple of years ago, too, because my boss retired and shut down the business. I had some friends there, too, and it was so sad to leave them. Anyway, I stayed home for about a year all the while feeling a little lost. It just seemed like I didn't have a plan for each day like I did when I was working. So, I decided to work pt. time (2 days a week) and surprisingly am working with one of the girls I had worked with before. Two days a week has really been great because it gives me a purpose and some socialization and still leaves me time for other fun stuff.

My suggestion would be to maybe go pt. time if you can. Another idea would be to do some volunteer work. If I hadn't gone back pt. time that's what I was going to do.

Thank goodness your son is OK. If the other guy was at fault I would think his insurance would cover all of your son's expenses.

I'm also happy to hear you sister is doing better.

Take care of yourself. I know things seem tough right now but they will be better soon.
