In the past few days, I've had run ins with a snake, a lizard and a wasp!

Yesterday a lizard was on the inside of my back door---between the screen door and our other door. I needed to let the dogs outside, so I banged on the door, thinking it would go away. I let the dogs out, and then I couldn't find the lizard anywhere. It wasn't inside the house (thank God!), and I didn't see it on the patio. When I closed the door, it wouldn't close well. I kept slamming it to get it to close tightly.

WELL..... last night, I was sitting on the sofa, talking to my husband, when something caught my eye. I looked up at the back door----and saw the lizard! It was on the door frame. Dead as a doorknob. I feel so guilty. I had slammed the poor thing in the doorframe. Over and over again. That's why the door wouldn't shut! Oh, my gosh. I hate lizards, but that makes me sick to my stomach. I can't believe I tortured the poor thing like that.

My husband had to get a baggie and some pliers to pull the squooshed lizard out of the doorframe.

Earlier this week, I went out to the curb to put something in my trashcan----and when I opened the can, a snake was on top of the leaves! Yikes!

And last night, after we retrieved the lizard, my husband is screaming at me for the fly-swatter. There was a wasp in the kitchen.

I'm ready to move to a safer location. Am I going to rot in hell for what I did to the poor lizard? My mother said, "Well, better that than the thing crawling across your bed in the middle of the night!" I guess she's right!
