I would recommend to stop breast feeding until you have stopped the enemas. I don't have children but I always thought that when you breast feed, you don't want to be taking any meds. As for the enemas, be strong and don't give in to using the bathroom. I find that after the first hour, I can keep it in for 8 hours. Make sure you lay on your left side for 30 minutes to allow the medication to spread in your colon. And don't get up!! If you get up, don't stand or sit because gravity will make you want to go. It is very important to keep the medication in for about 6-8 hours. After 4 days, I noticed my bleeding went away. I stopped taking it with my doc. approval. Now, 3 weeks later, I'm on it again.
