Hi Everyone; I was hoping someone out there might have a little info or experience with the food Saffron Yellow Rice you can buy at the store. Since I started mass producing kidney stones 2 years ago I now have IBS, Diverticulitus, high blood pressure, diabetes. I think that's it..lol Anyway, I have only been able to eat white rice and the cheap yucky white bread (which I really can't stand. I am a wheat bread person).. A couple of weeks ago my husband made some Sausage and Yellow Rice for he and my son.. and I thought "Hey, that's pretty close to the white rice, right?" Well, I am not sure what happened but it made my diverticulitus kick in but not my IBS. Can anyone tell me what is in the Saffron Yellow Rice that would do that? Is the Saffron the culprit? I mean I looked Saffron up on the internet and I couldn't get a lot of info on it. Mostly stuff about it being a flower and how to grow it. The one picture I did see made it look almost like a long Sunflower seed, but I would think that when cooking it that would change the hardness of it to soft right? Has anyone had any experience eating this? I would love to eat it because it would be a change from the plain yellow rice I eat every day. I am so tired of the rice and bread I could scream. But with these stones passing every day these are the only things that I can eat that won't completely saddle me to the bathroom. Now and then I try things hoping I might find something I can add to my food list but then I pay for it for at least 3 days. So I have almost given up.
Thanks for any info all of you might have on this. I am also adding to this post a question I had posted about 5 days ago. Just hoping someone might be able to shed some light on my question. *** I am wondering about this drug Levsin that I am on. I have been on it for more than a year and at first it worked pretty well, but lately I have noticed that it may not be working as well. Is it possible to build up a tolerance to this medication? I mean I know you can with other medications. Also, is there anyone else out there taking this drug and what is your experience with it? I am on the 0.125mg tab four times a day.
Thanks for any info...
God Bless!
Hope this post is finding all of you having a pain free day!
Best Regards; Stacy Troutman
