Hi all. I was diagnosed with IBS about a year ago by my GP, but I've never had a colonoscopy to rule out other things. I've been having BIG flare ups lately, due to my first full-time teaching job starting in 2 weeks. I'm stressed. This is also developing a full-blown anxiety disorder in me, to the point where I freak whenever I have to go in public, scared I'll mess myself (I'm IBS-D).
My GP prescribed Xanax to take with Hyoscyamine (a generic of something that starts with "L") for when I go out. Well, the combo made me come the closest I ever have to an accident in public.
Today I just took my first chlordiazepoxide+clidinium tablet. I want to know your experiences with this drug, or any drug that works for you! I also am doing WW to lose weight, and try to avoid dairy and red meat and fatty foods, as Heather says. (Though I'm new to the board, I've gotten her newsletter for about 7 months).
