Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | We are run down this week

at my house. On Labor Day we visited Grandma (my mother-n-law) to celebrate her birthday. It was not a good day for her. She was very weak and eventually she was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The worst part was six grandchildren witnessed it.
It was determined two days ago her treatment is no longer working and she was transported to a Hospice today. She is in end stages of Hep. C she contracted from a blood transfusion in the 1980's.
My husband is taking it very hard and we haven't told our kids yet that Grandma only has a few weeks left to live. I have been trying to be strong support for my husband and didn't realize until today how sad I am. She is the only mother figure I have in my life right now and it has been really hard to see her sick.
I attend a support group for special needs children and I broke down this morning for the first time. It felt really good and hopefully my IBS will feel better after showing my emotions.
Our next step is telling our boys and does anybody have any suggestions on how to share this news with them?
