The only "in-law" I have is my brother's wife, who has always put herself in that position and kept us from their 2 kids (who aren't bad "kids", and are now adults)for no apparent reason. The rest of my family, my husband's family, even my ex-husband's mother, and the family of my future son is considered by me and my family to BE family... sad that so many distance themselves for the sake of petty insecurities when, simply by allowing themselves to be loved, they could become so much stronger. God bless these children who grow up like this, too. I love my niece and nephew to death, and I get wonderful emails from my niece, or we chat now and then, but to talk face to face or over the phone is uncomfortable... don't know what to say. My nephew has been to see my parents twice in the last several months... a first!!!! Bless him, he made their day!! ~K~
