The realization of my one and only child getting married hit me yesterday... my "novel" thoughts of all the fun my daughter and I have had in planning this wedding over almost a year and 1/2 has come to a realization that she is entering into a VERY SERIOUS committment! I just can't believe it... but I'm going to be OK... not generally one to freak out or to become terribly emotional... however, I do have this fear. What if the IBS hits me just before I walk to my seat at the wedding, or as his mom and I go up to light the candles (all eyes on me!!!)???? How horrifying... and if I think about it, it will be more likely to happen!! So, I know to take it easy on the foods, if I had my "druthers" I'd not eat Friday or Saturday until the reception that night... then by that time I wouldn't care. But, realistically, I can't go quite that long without eating, PLUS my baby wants me to go to breakfast that AM with her and her girls. Soooo... obviously, if SHE wants me to go, I'll go. Help me, girls, especially those who have been in my shoes, or the new brides who feared the same just before their weddings... how did you handle it?? Double up on meds and just don't eat??? Help! (did I say I don't usually freak out???)
