Ohhhhhh! I know you are sad! Don't feel bad about crying. This is a big step for both of you. At least he went eagerly and with a smile on his face. I'm so glad mine were happy to go and didn't cling to me. Just think---he must really think he's a big kid now to be able to go to school all day just like his big brothers!
When my last one went off that first day, he brought me his big teddy bear and said, "Mom, Teddy will stay with you today!" After Jason got on the bus, I came in the house and there was this big teddy bear on the sofa with this sad, pouty look on its face! I started bawling and then realized, wow, I have all this free time! I could go shopping by myself! I could eat lunch by myself! And then I quickly perked up! Ha! Enjoy your day and before you know it, he will be home and ready to share his day with you.
