I've considered just staying in my current field since I am well-entreanched and proficient, but I don't enjoy it at all. Yes it will be strange to be on the same level (experience-wise) with people ten years younger than me and I am not following cookie-cutter mold that typifies society, but who cares!? We only have one life and I am going to do it on my terms and enjoy it! Sometimes we just have to step out of our comfort zones (trust me it ain't always easy hanging around people in their late teens, early 20's--no offense to those in that demographic) Cheers!
