First, I want to say congratulations to Ruchie because I think the first step is the hardest. Congratulations!
Second, Heather Robin's advice is great! I'm also dealing with anxiety problems; although I'm able to leave the house for work and grocery shopping, sometimes I let myself get into a panic when I'm going to new places or situations.
Ruchie, I also wanted to mention a book you might want to check out if you go to the library this weekend. It's called Fear and Other Uninvited Guests : Tackling the Anxiety, Fear, and Shame That Keep Us from Optimal Living and Loving . I read it a couple of months ago and really appreciated how the author didn't try to sell a quick fix, but instead used the book to explore the good and bad side of fear. It helped me understand why I feel this way, and by understanding my anxiety I felt better able to cope with it. Here's a link to the first chapter on Amazon, if you want to read a bit of it: Chapter 1: Why Can't a Person Be More Like a Cat?
Again, excellent job,Ruchie! I'm very proud of you!
