Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Yay it's summer vacation!! and various life updates (long!)

So I just got home from school and finished my last project presentation and critique. I'm on a high now after all the stress and giving presentations like these give me anxiety attacks. But who cares because I don't have to go back to school for 4 months!

So another fun unpdate on my life is apparently I have a boyfriend in the works. Let's break this down first. though. So last weekend I was researching online for a project and I get this popup from Yahoo and it says something about learning how to flirt in an email. I was mildly intrigued and considering the fact that I love a good distraction I thought I'd read what they had to say. So I read the little article and then at the bottom is a little search thing for the Yahoo Personals online dating people search thing. Well since I was already procrastinating more I thought it'd be amusing to look at what kind of guys are in my area on this thing. Well in doing my search for guys in a certain age range and in my area I come across who other than my older brother who is 24. Talk about funny and weird.

Well I told my mom about it cause I thought it was so funny especially considering his ladies man reputation (why love one girl when you can love all the girls). So my mom and I thought that it would be funny if I made a profile and then he saw it and of course he wouldn't know we knew. So I made one (again I was looking for any excuse not to do my work). Well that was last Sunday. So Monday morning (now a week ago) I check my email before I leave for school and then decide to check my little Personals Mailbox. Well what do ya know, some guy some my thing and wanted me to email him. So now I'm thinking this is crazy because me of all people is the LAST person to ever do something like this. I have since realized that I unconciously avoid relationships for whatever reason it is and that I'm probably destined to die an old lonely spinster. Not because I don't want it, but I just don't like uncomfortable situations in which I could potentially look like an idiot and I have no idea what's going on. (My IBS-twin Natalie and I have discussed in length our striking degree of commonalities in this area). Plus I just think WAY too much and that causes trouble.

So I did email him and then he emailed me back. And now a week later I actually find myself really liking this guy a little. And he's cute from what I've seen and I don't know how I know, but I feel like he's not some psycho killer out to deceive me. But I don't know what to do as soon as this moves out of a computer penpal relationship. I know I know I'm a retard, but seriously I'm no good at this sort of thing! He just seems like such a nice guy and he's just finished EMT school and then going on to firefighter training in a month. Am I crazy to keep this up? How did other people deal with online relationships?? (Or relationships in general...haha

) I'm actually considering seeing where this goes though - it is the summer and I could be kinda fun. And maybe if for nothing else it will help me confront my relationship-phobias. AH!

Then my nanny job is going pretty well. I can't wait to pick up some more hours on that in next couple weeks cause they pay REALLY well. And the plans for me to go with them to London seem to be a go so that's exciting!

And the other day I picked up a new nanny job that I go interview for tomorrow and would start on Thursday. And this one would be weeknights while the other is weekdays. And then all the off days I'm working at my dad's office for him. Geez I have a lot of work! Where's the vacation?!

So I guess that that's pretty much it for me. Just had to update you all on my life and assure you all that I'm not down in the dumps like a month ago. Woohoo!

And I hope everyone else is doing well, especially the ones stressed out as school is ending for them too!
