Lana I totally understand what you are saying about how some people don't have a choice. I do see people around me who have to live on two incomes to pay for their $200,000 house, their two new cars sitting in the drive way and they have to have the brand new furniture. I have friends who are single parents and have no choice but to work full time. I do understand both parents have to work at times to pay the bills. I can't help think there would be less children in Daycare if the divorce rate wasn't so high. Is the divorce rate high in Canada? I also feel we have a responibility to keep ourselves out of debt and maybe more moms or dads can stay home with their kids. The only debt my husband and I ever had has been our house. We had one car the first five years of our marriage, because my husband refuses to take out a car loan. What bothers me is when I see parents put their wants in front of the needs of their children. Like Josie wrote America doesn't offer great benefits to new moms. At least a woman can not lose her job anymore.
Lana Maria you have only been married for a year - enjoy your husband before the kids come. Kids are wonderful, but they take a lot of your free time away. My husband and I waited 31/2 years before we had kids and I'm really glad we waited. Than we had three boys in less than four years. I do not advise having children that close in age.
