I must have missed your post. It's sweet of you to want to make your grandkids feel welcome, but if it will take ANY energy on your part, DON'T DO IT!! You have a chronic illness called IBS and people who are sick are not only allowed to rest, we NEED to rest. And don't guilt trip yourself about it. Grandchildren don't care how things look, they care only about warmth and affection and fun. At least that's all I remember about my grandparents!!
