If you get the opportunity to stay home with your children, I would highly recommend it. (Aren't I getting ahead of myself That's me, my mind is always racing!) I'm not knocking working mothers, because I know I was fortunate to be able to stay home with my two boys when they were little. Although we were SO BROKE. If you looked at our finances on paper, I should have never been able to stay home with them. But we did without a lot, living in a tiny apartment and sharing one vehicle. I remember friends calling me to go to McDonald's with them and having to turn them down, because I could not afford to go! (that's bad when you can't afford a Happy Meal!) My boys (13 months apart) and I would take long walks, bicycle rides, sit outside in the plastic wading pool, etc. and just enjoy being together. Our big treat was to walk to the nearby grocery store parking lot and get a 25 cent soft drink (generic) out of the machine. We laugh now about how poor we were then, but I wouldn't trade those times for anything in the world. When my boys went to school, I decided to teach so that I would be close to them. It was great having the same hours and vacations as them. You just have to enjoy them while they are little, because time does fly. My oldest will be going off to college next year (boo-hoo), and the other is only a year behind. May God bless you (when you are ready) with children as beautiful as you are! (Gosh, I sound like your mother!)
