If you used more neutral colors I think it could help tone down the brightness of it. The black chair will look nice as will light wood colors and such. Did you say the place has wood floors? If the wood is in that room I suppose you wouldn't want to clash woods maybe, but that's one of those things you would have to see. You could add some olive/sage greens and brown shades too and those would look nice. How fun to get to decorate a new place! Can't wait to hear more about it!
