All I know is that my mom's side of the family (the Scottish side) are all the same way... we love the cold. But I did grow up in NY. I lived in Maryland/Virginia for a few years, and it seemed SO ungodly hot to me! Give me cold weather anyday - just don't put me anywhere where it's consistently hotter than 90, or I'll be very, very unhappy. LOL! But seriously? There are 2 keys for staying warm: 1 - Dress in layers. A thermal shirt and a light sweater are inexplicably warmer than a heavy sweater. 2 - Forget pride and fashion! I have the ugliest boots you will EVER see, but they keep my feet warm, so who cares? I also wear a hat with earflaps and a parka that makes me look 50lbs bigger than I am, and in the worst of winter, I wear my pants a size too big so there's room to put thermals on under them if I go outside. Those are my tips. Although probably my best one is to not go outside when it's really cold! LOL *hugs* Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
