Hi Mona, I'm Nel. I'm so glad you found us. I hope 2005 is better for you! I know the srtess of having surgery is hard on IBS, and I hope you're coping OK.

Have you tried gas-x for pain and cramping due to trapped gas, and imodium for frequent attacks of D? Those have been lifesavers for me, and they let me predict better when I'm going to have attacks (1/2 an hour after a food trigger, and imediately after a stress trigger). Predicting when I'm going to have an attack really has helped me reduce my stress and anxiety about the uncertainity surrounding my early attacks in the first years.
