Give us his address/email and we will bombard him with insults and see how he likes it. I think that no matter how sweet guys are to our faces they do have these kinds of conversations all the time (BF would deny this but from my brothers and male buddies I know the truth!) His mistake was being such an idiot as to say this stuff to his face. I would confront him, tell him how much that stuff hurt you and that you are feeling vulnerable at the moment and it was really the last thing you needed, and him lying about it only made it worse.
