This is not nosey at all. When OCD id diagnosed, it it diagnosed by a significant interrupation in daily life (more than a few hours a day). It's that simple and complex at the same time. I would gently suggest to your MIL that you may have this and that ther is HELP available. My experience, though, with older people with OCD is that they are not willing to change or seek help. It can become so ingrained that they lose touch with reality. I have two cousins that are so far gone with OCD that they are not willing to listen to what I say or do. They admit that it's a problem but are unwilling to change. It takes someone who is willing to change to alter their behaviours. With love and support, you may be able to help your MIL.
