Heather, My best defense against eating lots of junk is to not have it in the house. If I have it in the house, I will eat it. If I don't have it, I won't make a special trip to go buy junk. I also don't buy foods that are already prepared or bad snacky foods. If I can grab a cookie or chips or something quick, then I eat more during the day. But if I have to think about it and actually prepare something, then I don't eat as much. I always have a bag of carrots, dried fruit, fresh fruit, bread, etc. so if I need a snack I will automatically choose something healthy. I also try to find other things to do...sewing, reading, playing games with the girls, anything to keep my occupied. Good luck with your diet. Rena
