I wonder why they don't sedate her??? It is so hard to watch our kids undergoing these things. I always wish that they could do it to me instead of them because I understand and they don't. My now 3 1/2 year old had to have a CAT scan when she was 18 months. I was so traumatized by the whole thing. She couldn't nurse in the morning which really made her mad and then we took her to the hospital and they put the IV in and we had to wait 30 min. before they could get us in the room for the test and she screamed hysterically the whole time and they wouldn't dose the IV until we were in the room. When they finally got her sedated, she was still so upset that she was doing that little gaspy thing you do when you've been crying really hard. We've also been through several major dental visits with her too. She handles it like a trooper, but I'm a disaster!
