Used To -- Hated It -- Got Rid Of It       10/31/04 04:22 PM Edit Reply Quote Bevvy Reged: 11/04/03 Posts: 5918 Loc: Northwest Washington State We bought a brand new top-of-the-line Maytag Neptune about 2 years ago. It was a DOG. We had so many maintenance men out to try to figure out what was causing all the NOISE. The appliance store where we bought it finally gave up and contacted Maytag, who then sent out a maintenance man from a different appliance store, then, out of sheer frustration, took the damn thing back and gave me all my money back. I bought an old-fashion top-loader and have been happy as a clam ever since. I understand there has been a class action lawsuit against Maytag by purchasers of the Neptune, but I wasn't involved.
