When we moved to Atlanta, we incurred so many more expenses than we'd expected. Even though the company gave us $2000 in signing bonus, it didn't even cover the movers because our stuff went to storage for 3 weeks. It took us 2 years to pay off the debt from that move. Every extra penny we had, we paid towards credit cards. We will never do that again. We pay our one credit card in full every month. Our only other debt is our house, 2 cars, and the remaining student loans but they will be paid soon and one of the cars will be paid for next year!!! We go on the don't have the money, don't buy it motto! Truly, there is nothing that we need. We have food, clothing, shelter. That's the hardest lesson to learn is the difference between what we need and what we want.
