There's something else you should know, Ruchie. I think it might mean something to you.
When Christopher first found out that he was paralyzed from the neck down, he wanted to commit suicide. His wife talked him out of it, telling him that he was still the man she loved, regardless of his condition, and that she would miss him something awful, and so would his children, that they all needed him, whether he could walk or not. Christopher realized that he couldn't be that selfish, to leave his family without the support and love they obviously needed and deserved -- from him.
His wife took care of him totally all these years without ever complaining because he was always the man she loved.
