17 year old with constipation HELP       09/21/04 08:43 AM Edit Reply Quote leggs_500 Reged: 03/15/03 Posts: 2 My son has terrible pain in his gut. Everyone thought he had a kidney stone but tests proved otherwise. He has been given a laxative and pain killer and sent home. He has been moving his bowels regularly for about a week now but no relief for the pain. (He has been constipated up to 2 months before). He has had impacted bowels before. The doctor is assuming IBS because I have it, with diareah. Im worried for him and dont know where to go. If he has IBS should he still be having pain after going to the bathroom? If anyone has heard of this, please let me know. He had a CT scan in the emergency room and they said it was normal. Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
