The instructions tell you how to figure how much fabric you'll need. You have to add 6 inches to what you want your final piece to be. So, if you want a 36 inch receiving blanket, then you'd need 42" of fabric. But, the size is totally up to you. I'm making a receiving one for the Angel girl (due date-January 1st) and a larger one for my Angel boy. Well, I'm very glad to have met you, too, Gayla. You're always so understanding of everybody's troubles; including mine. I'm not able to get out as much as I'd like to, so friends like you are important to me. (My husband is disabled and has more bad days than good ones when it comes to his mobility problems.)
