She's 22 now and doing ok, but still has to go and stay in the hospital for about 2 weeks every year. Neither of my friends parents are carriers, it's a recessive gene. I'm not sure on all the details of how it's carried, but they don't know for sure that if she has children she'll give it to them or not. It's scary. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
