I'm not going to be the one to say "go for it!" because I don't want that guilt hanging over my head if you get sick! But I will tell you that even as sick as I am, I find I can drink if I eat bread first. Like, almost immediately before I'm going to drink (eating an hour prior doesn't work). Now, the thing is, I've never had a cosmo, and I don't think I've touched hard liquor in any way shape or form in over a year... I'm mostly a wine drinker, on the rare occasion that I indulge (a couple times a year). I don't know if that matters. But that's just my experience, anyway!
Whatever you decide to do, good luck and here's hoping you stay well!
PS - Wine totally settles my stomach... especially a good Port after dinner. Shhhh!
