Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

This weekend (Labor Day) there is a huge celebration in the town where Im from. ALL of my friends and family are there and the whole town just parties all weekend long. Up until last year labor day was one of my favorite times of the year cause I could drink and have a good time with everyone and then last year my IBS went extreme and I have not had a drink in over a year now. I havent even had a sip of anything since last June. BUT....this weekend I would really like to give it a try and just have like one cosmo or something like that. I just miss it sooo bad! Im not completely stable right now but Im not as bad as I have been in the past either. I keep changing my mind on whether or not I should drink! I know its totally up to me and I should just decide for myself but I guess I just want to hear someone say "Go for it!" and have an easy way out! I went through this in Highschool - I got really sick for awhile and totally quit drinking for close to a year and then when I tried it again it was almost like it helped a little! Who knows! What should I do??
